The carbon cost of imported flowers
Many flowers sold in the UK are flown in from overseas, often travelling thousands of miles before reaching your hands. This journey leaves a significant carbon footprint, contributing to climate change and environmental harm. By choosing locally grown blooms, we reduce transport emissions, support nearby growers, and celebrate the natural rhythm of the seasons.
It is undeniably true that you may find bunches of blooms in supermarkets cheaper, but considering the carbon cost of these stems, and the price per bloom suddenly seems worryingly high.

Wherever possible, we work with trusted local growers who share our values. This means fresher flowers, fewer air miles, and stronger connections with the land and community. Every bouquet tells a story of sustainability, rooted in care for the environment.
Our composting service
We know that flowers are fleeting. That’s why we offer a composting service. ​Bring back your old bouquet to us and we’ll compost it responsibly, turning it into rich nourishment for the bulbs and seeds we grow and sell. You’ll then receive 5% off your next bouquet - a small thanks from us for helping us close the loop and give back to the earth.
